Makenzie Tyson

Makenzie Tyson is a Legislative Associate at DeMenna Public Affairs.

Prior to joining DeMenna Public Affairs, Makenzie worked as the Political Affairs Director for BridgeUSA, a nonpartisan non-profit working on college and high school campuses to bridge political divides. As the Political Affairs Director, Makenzie served as the liaison between the organization and members of the U.S. Congress, following bipartisan legislation crucial to depolarizing the country. Previously, she also worked for Victory Enterprises, consulting for political campaigns and PACs through various marketing outlets.

Makenzie was born and raised in Republic, Missouri, but has called Phoenix home for the last five years. She graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Justice Studies. She also earned her Master’s in American Politics.
